Following a successful first season, the Wanderers embarked on yet another first for the club with skipper Dave Adams organising an inaugural tour to the UK.
The week long event saw the Wanderers make their way to Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire where they played a variety of teams and formats; stay in one of the local hotels and, much to the skipper's delight, play the world famous Hodgkin golf course at the home of England Golf.
Longer format games against Sky TV and Woodhall Spa 1stXI, who included former Sri Lankan test star Prassana Jayawardene in their ranks, saw the Wanderers win one and lose one while games against Lincoln Lindum in The Hundred and some Dubai 7s cricket against Spa and RAF Coningsby saw victories. A close encounter against a Lincolnshire Development side in a 50 o0ver affair saw the boys from Dubai narrowly miss out on a tight run chase.
Away from the cricket, the boys were given a warm welcome from all at Woodhall Spa CC and were able to enjoy the facilities in the village and make new and long lasting friendships in true Wanderers fashion!!!
